Pearson's Higher Education Division has a need for a Assistant Editor for the Arts and Sciences group supporting the Sociology list. The assistant editor works as part of an editorial team for the Social Sciences list. Will consult with authors, editorial, sales, marketing and customers to plan college textbook supplements for an evolving market landscape; will hold primary role in development to finished product of all aspects of econ supplements including Test Banks, Solutions Manuals, Study Guides, Lab Manuals, and some technology products, including recruiting and managing content providers, acting as liaison to production, and maintaining published content; will manage projects, schedules, budgets, and reprint corrections; will attend company and academic meetings and conferences, along with local and national talks, forums, and classes to consult with instructors.
Strong writing and communication skills are essential. The ability to negotiate and manage project is important. Must have proven project management skills, be well-organized, and work well with a team. 1+ years editorial assistant experience required.
