Higher Ed Café is an online meeting space for the Higher Education content community - a place to meet, share, and discuss news and trends that impact our industry. We're introducing it to you in hopes that you will savor the content we've provided and begin to populate this site with your thoughts and ideas to help it thrive.

We like our news like we take our coffee: finely filtered to produce on-target and relevant news stories, nourished with cream to pack on all the latest industry tips and who’s who, and sweetened with a little entertainment and new job opportunities. So, sip your coffee (or caffeinated beverage of your choice), take a look around, and get comfortable. This is your site. Help it grow.

Who's Who

This section allows us to keep track of people in our industry and share in their good news.  Who's Who features the latest updates on people in the community.  We would love your suggestions and additions!  So when you hear a bit of good news about a friend or colleague, such as a job change, a promotion, awards, or interesting tidbits like marriages, babies, and such, please post them!  To post: 

• Just click "Add a Who's Who Post" at the bottom of the block.
• To see our archives, click on "More Who's Who."

Events

Higher Ed Café hosts regular webinars as a service to the community.  Our goal is to offer relevant, meaningful exchanges that will promote professional development, dialogue amongst various functional groups, and relevant presentations about the latest technology impacting our business.  To participate: 

• Sign up by clicking on the event and registering.
• If you're unable to make a scheduled event, we will be archiving most of them.  To view past events, just click the Events tab and go to "View more Events" at the bottom of the page. Then click on the event you want. An audio link will be included.

Features

• Our Features section provides commentary and insights on today's education and information markets, with a focus on topics relevant to content providers.  We would love your feedback on what you would find most useful.  To help us:  Comment on articles to let us know what you think.

Jobs

This section lists the latest job openings, both full-time and freelance.   This is a service to support our community, so feedback and suggestions are appreciated!  To use the Jobs section, just: 

• Click "More Jobs" to see our database.
• Search by level of experience, job type, or location.
• Or add a job, freelance position, or project yourself by clicking "Add a job post."

News

A big part of our purpose is serving as a source of relevant, industry news.  We post the most current news about the issues and trends that affect Higher Education and the publishing industry.  Again, we could use your input!

Grab 'n' Go

This section of the community provides practical and entertaining tidbits to keep you informed, relaxed, and moving quickly through the day.  Designed as a quick snack, we focus on "nutritional" morsels that can be digested quickly.   You can help by:

• Post anything you want as long as it's interesting. This could be a travel tip (such as best place to eat/stay in this college town), a relaxation tip, an interesting video you found....
