Overview:The company currently seeks a Program Manager to oversee multiple projects including e-books.  These duties will involve coordinating projects, understanding overlaps and synergies, monitoring service level compliance, and anticipating and addressing potential areas of concern. The Program Manager will also establish a relationship with the management structure (at the strategic, program and operational levels of the client) that identifies who within the client’s organizational hierarchy has responsibility for making decisions and how those decisions will be made. The Program Manager will ensure that the company’s program is at all times responsive to the needs of the client and accommodates changes in the client’s requirements. The position will ideally be based in the Northeast region and can be work-from-home or operated from the company’s NJ offices. A background in publishing is preferred. Travel 25%. A competitive six-figure salary and incentive plan are offered.
 
The program manager will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the client and the client’s industry sector. He/She will bring together key resources from across the company to service the client needs and develop strategic plans to implement key account initiatives. The Program Manager shall take the lead role in pre-sales and sales (new account opportunities or projects) as well as program oversight for all projects under the program.
 
Responsibilities:
* Manage fluctuation of workload and distribute work evenly across resources and across projects.
* Ensure that the individual project plans fit into the overall program management plan and goals.
* Review of processes and redesign or re-engineering of processes that are redundant or is not optimized.
* Manage scope and pricing of the overall engagement.
* Ensure program profitability by conducting ongoing process improvements.
* Centralized the management for a portfolio of projects.
* Responsible for the quality of all program elements including schedules and budgets.
* Reviews and approves project plans for conformance to program strategy and program plan and schedule.
* Communicates status updates to executive sponsors Work closely with Sales, Project Manager(s), and Engineering to ensure coordination between the groups.
* Track and manage achievement of agreed service level agreements (SLAs) such as quality, volume and expectations. Specifically, help in increasing the level of quality of existing projects and making sure that quality requirements are met for each individual project.
* Identify opportunities with client organization to achieve program revenue targets.
* Provide transition management support to all new outsourcing initiatives.
 
* Manage transition of identified processes to ensure effective migration. Program manager will make sure that all specifications are clear and understood by the deployment and project delivery teams. Ensure that quality requirements and metrics are in place. Major transition activities include:
 
- Identification of opportunities within client organization.
- Performing feasibility analysis and develop a business case to support transition decisions.
- Understand high level requirements for process transition.
- Coordinate with executive management for allocation of pursuit team consisting of process and technology analysts, quality and specifications specialist and subject matter experts to ensure complete capture of process understanding and knowledge to minimize transition risks.
- Coordinate detailed analysis of candidate processes, solution design, pricing and SOW, SLA definition and agreement, QA plans, communications and reporting plans, change orders, etc.
- Coordinate pilot implementation, QA review and feedback cycle to ensure delivery as per expectations.
- Evaluate performance of the offsite delivery team to the contractual statement of works and service level agreements.
- Provide inputs and guidance on the implementation plan developed by the offsite project management team.
- Develop risk management event checklists for early identification, severity analysis, mitigation and resolution.
- Review project performance against milestones and provide inputs to ensure compliance with project plan.
